Text to Song Converter: Turn Stories, Speeches and Notes Into Songs
A text to song converter turns existing writing into singable lyrics first, then into a full song. How to condense prose and generate it in Arttribe Text to Song.

A text to song converter answers a specific question: I already wrote something, now make it a song. The work happens in two passes. First you condense the writing into singable lines. Then Lyrics mode in Text to Song performs them. Skip the first pass and paste a paragraph, and you get a paragraph with a beat: technically a song, practically unlistenable.
What convert means here#
Text in, song out. No file upload, no MP3 import. You paste writing, shape it, set a genre, and generate a vocal track. If you have no source text and only an idea, skip this article and use Prompt mode as described in how to turn text into a song.
Turn prose into lyrics first#
Condensing is the whole skill. Take the source text and keep only what sings:
- One idea per line. Split every compound sentence.
- Short lines with natural stress. Read them aloud and cut what you stumble over.
- A repeated hook. Lift the single best sentence and make it the chorus.
- Concrete images over explanation. Songs show; essays tell.
A birthday note becomes four short verses and a two-line chorus. A brand paragraph becomes a hook plus two verses. A toast becomes a chorus with names in the verses. The shape is always the same: less text, more repetition, labeled sections.
Then Lyrics mode and genre#
Paste the condensed lines into Lyrics mode, label Verse and Chorus, and set the genre tile: Pop, Classical, Metal, Jazz, Flute. Match the tile to the occasion: Pop for celebrations, something weightier for tributes. Generate, then judge word clarity first. Blurry words mean the lines are still too long. Cut and run again.
Good source texts and bad ones#
Good sources are short, emotional, and concrete: birthday messages, wedding toasts, brand taglines, team slogans, children’s stories, short poems. Rhymed sources sing immediately, which is why the rhyme song generator workflow pairs so well with this one.
Bad sources are long, abstract, or jargon-heavy: essays, documentation, terms and conditions, anything with sentences over fifteen words. Condense those by ninety percent or pick a different starting point.
A short production path#
- Pick the source text. Extract one hook sentence and a handful of short lines.
- Label Verse and Chorus. Read everything aloud and cut stumbles.
- Paste into Lyrics mode in Text to Song, set the genre, generate.
- Download the keeper. Use it solo, remix it with other songs, or put it behind stills in Video Editor.
FAQ#
Can I upload a document to convert? No. Paste the text and condense it into lyrics first. There is no file-upload conversion.
How short should the lyrics be? Shorter than you think. A verse of four tight lines beats a paragraph every time.
What about speeches? Extract the best lines, repeat the core message as the chorus, and drop the rest. A speech is raw material, not lyrics.
Is this different from Prompt mode? Yes. Prompt mode invents from a description. The converter workflow starts from writing you already have.
